We offer a supply and fit for all of our metal work anywhere in London and the surrounding areas, we also offer a supply only for the same areas and anywhere in the whole of the United Kingdom. If you would like to choose supply only, this will save you money and will mean you have to install the garden gate yourself.

Garden gates and pedestrian gates are basically the same thing and can be called by many different names. Some people may call them wrought iron gates, security gates, metal garden gates, metal pedestrian gates etc. the main difference is that a pedestrian gate is normally situated in between your property and the pedestrian walk way, a garden gate Is normally installed between your garden and your home. Wherever you decide to install your gate or whatever you decide to call it at the end of the day it is still a metal gate.

All of our metal garden gates are made from solid steel and then powder coated to a colour of your choice. This will protect the metal against rust for many years to come and save you years of maintenance. Although metal garden gates are more expensive than wooden garden gates to begin with, they will not only end up cheaper in the long run, they will also save you many hours of maintenance. Wooden garden gates will rot over time, need lots of treatments, maintenance and repairs in their lifespan. Metal garden gates will stand strong for decades to come.

More About Garden Gates - Pedestrian Gates

When deciding what type of wrought iron garden gate you would like, there are many factors to take into consideration. First of all there is the main design to choose; would you like it simple or decorative, then you have to choose if you want the top to be flat, domed, have balls on top or arrow heads on top of your garden gate. You can then choose if you would like to have doggy bars at the bottom of your gate, doggy bars are basically extra bars at the bottom so that they are too narrow for pets to slip through. This helps keeping pets on or off of your property.

Your garden gate can be fitted with a latch which is the most common option; this allows you to close your gate without it blowing open. If you would like to add more security to your gate and control who can and cannot enter your garden or the perimeter of your property, Then fitting a lock to your gate is the best option for you. The two main options for locks are either a mortise lock or a coded lock. The mortise lock can be locked by a key on either side of the gate, once locked it cannot be opened without a key. A coded lock can be fitted which will be operated by a code from both sides.

Your garden gate/pedestrian gate can also be incorporated within railings or a drive way gate depending on your requirements. It can also be installed between to brick walls or if need be we can sink two metal posts into the ground and concrete them into place before fixing the gate to the posts. So, no matter where you would like your gate installed we are able to offer you different installation options. You can also choose which colour you would like to have your pedestrian gate powder coated. You may choose to have it matching existing metal work or to stand out depending on your personal taste.
